Yeah, so I’ve been keeping a secret from you guys.
I’ve been working on and off on a new proximity map for us!
All the core components of the game are the same, except there’s some style changes, and one major change.
Instead of all the islands descending, they all ASCEND.
(Like, you have to staircase and THEN bridge over.)
I think this will put an interesting twist on things, with Enchanting and Golems being better spots for vantage points for archers…
I don’t know, it will be interesting. I’m looking forward to finishing, and I’m close to finishing…
Here’s a sneak preview of both spawns…
AND OF COURSE, it looks way cooler in my texture pack. XD

Of course, if you have ideas or suggestions, post them here. I’ll be very carefully adding anything new though, because I don’t want to ruin the game by changing it too much.

Highest point means easier to defend and attack from being enemy can’t see up as well as you can see down.
Having your main objectives, enchanting and iron, being at the top would make it easier to defend and attack from. Making it very one sided to whoever gets there first. Not to mention your spawn pad will be at the lowest position making it the hardest to defend, which kinda makes no sense.
Also when you can stair up that means you already have a way to get back to the previous island, so there is no risk. Having to go down, you can’t stair downward so you have to jump down with no immediate way back up, making it a risk.
Just some thoughts.

(Good job letting the invis smoke get in the shot…)

…Except for some issues with the command blocks that I need help figuring out.
The biggest issue being that for whatever reason, you can’t be added to the red team when you stand in that teleport spot.
I haven’t been able to wrap my head around how to fix that one.

Once that’s figured out, everything else works properly! (I think!)

Oh, and to help with your concern about the high islands, Switch, you will notice in the screenshots I added an under-platform to both Iron and Enchanting. The one under enchanting is the new location for all the TNT and the one under iron has some gold ore, if you’re daring and patient enough to grab it.
