Status of our update to 1.14 will be posted here.
- Optifine (at least a preview release) is typically always required for us to update. Current percentage complete is %12.
- Spigot has a 1.14 release. Spigot didn’t work well for us last time, but I’m willing to give both Spigot and Papermc a try to compare.
- There are reports that GriefPrevention is working for 1.14. I haven’t seen an official release yet.
- Dynmap currently doesn’t have a new release, but I’m watching their forum closely for when they do.
- I’m going to be resetting the outer end islands when updating to 1.14.
Out of the above, Dynmap isn’t required, but the others are. I’m keeping a close eye on the spigot forum to see what problems have been creeping up. If anyone out there read this and know of game breaking bugs, please let me know so I can track those.
I don’t know of any game-breaking bugs, but chunk rendering is pretty bad client side, and some problems with villager AI might be heavily taxing for some servers. Mojang is already working on 1.141 :p
Also I don’t have Facebook, so the like button won’t let me press it.
Thanks. Since Optifine is taking a while, it may just be that we’ll be updating in a future patch.
Took the like thing out. Didn’t realize it was tied to facebook.
the only two bigger bugs – which are being take care of in the patch – that i know of is rendering and lightning issue. But i also do think that optifine will do a 1.14 release first, even tho at the time it’s out the 1.14.1 patch might be already released too.
Jack wasn’t there a mod that didn’t destroy crops/vegetation on claim land before Ex: creeper blow up or player jumping on crops?
Yea griefprevention prevents that. It prevents both mobs from trampling and rabbits from eating crops.
with 1.14.1 some issues have been solved, but we have a new gamebreaking issue. already reported as a bug where animals, villagers, item frames, armor stands and other entities disappear while loading the world.
Mojang is aware of that and they are already working on 1.14.2 patch – whilst working on the next major update 1.15.
Might be, that the next patch won’t be released for the next few weeks…maybe months??
