And I thought about it, and really when 1.7 will be out if the server wont reset im not so sure how many people will still be on… I mean comone we cant just play on 1.6.2 with some uexplored areas forever…

Along with 1.7 comes the new terrain generation engine configuration. All new chunks on a 1.7 server will be “1.7 chunks” and the old chunks will persist because their data has already been written to the region files.
