Post Headset Questions

I have owned two headsets so far, both crap. I want my next one to be at least functional.

One reason I stopped my youtube’n is because of my headset. I had to run it on AM level quality (22050 Hz) for it not to cut my voice. If you run it on the normal DVD quality (48000 Hz) my voice cuts in and out while i’m talking. And, with AM quality, my voice seems too grainy and scratchy. I really don’t like it. It is the G430 by Logitech.

So for Father’s Day I ordered a headset off amazon so I could record the video for the judging of the modern builds. It is a Soniq Boom by Sentey. The fit to my head was very uncomfortable. The sound quality was really good, but the recorded audio had this soft sound in it similar to a truck put in reverse. I tried everything to get that sound to go away, but nope.

So, anyway, what headset do ya’ll use? I need to get this video recorded pronto!

It sounds like the issue on the second one was interference. Have you tried wrapping the cable in something (I prefer metal tape) and clearing all the cell phones out of the room while you record?

Too rich for my blood! Well, if I got real serious about the youtube stuff, then I’d consider it.

You know, I didn’t think of that. It could have been my cell phone this whole time. Regardless, they were the most uncomfortable headphones ever.

My first 15 or so episodes I used them and it sounds quite good. Very comfortable as well. I think you should try em out

The most common negative comment about this headset makes me want them for me! Apparently, they’re not for people with large heads, as they have a bit of a tight fit. I have a tiny head and headsets are constantly slipping down for me, so these sound perfect. I may get them… Maybe. I already have a headset that works, they’re just not “perfect”… I’ll have to justify the cost to myself somehow.
