I find dealing with monsters to be pretty difficult. The nether and I have never gotten along well. I would love to have access to materials that come from places I don’t frequent or find difficulty in getting to (and surviving).

For example, I mainly sell quartz, cobble, and potatoes. I think that trying the mall again would be a great idea, one main thing is that it needs to be connected to the hubs, allowing for long distance trades.

That might un-vanilla the server too much, but if you are going with some kind of trading system then something like this would be best I think. That way we aren’t trying to sync up schedules so we can barter with people directly. If I need blaze rods at 4am, I can just pop by the mall and pick them up.

It would be a bit “modded” though, not really that vanilla anymore.

Perhaps a designated area in the hub(s) that people could place signs and chests and offer stuff for trade with information on the signs. It would be an honor system, but I think we might be up to doing that with a minimum of abuse.

Yeaaaa I had considered using “playershop” in the past. But i think using a method similar to sethbling’s player shop would be nice instead. That along with the existing griefprevention plugin could work nicely. Only downside is people will have fewer trades. And we can still say its vanilla! 😉
