Well, 1.7 is just about here, and like many others, I’ll be moving on from my current base and trying something new. So I thought I’d compile a bunch of images showing what Asphyroth and I have accomplished with our time here.

Pretty dang spectacular, guy. You are sailing your ship to wherever you’re headed next, though, correct?

The plan was to build up central spawn and stick it there, but everyone seems to hate building at spawn, so I don’t think we’ll ever have a proper town. So I guess it just sits where it is. I wouldn’t want to have Jack move stuff for me if it wasn’t community-oriented. That’s just cheating. The ship wasn’t originally supposed to move at all. Jack thought it would look cool at spawn and I agreed.

@iMael
Jack and Misty both added a building at spawn I did like everything, but no one wanted to help so I just left it where it was. If people came to help me I would have kept going. I blame you. You were supposed to do the dock. I can’t do a whole town by myself xD

The first part of my contribution was going to be to add 2 ships. The big one is done and I was going to have a smaller one that had sails furled to actually be in dock. It wouldn’t take very long to build the smaller ship. The problem with redoing central spawn is that hardly anyone lives around there anymore. And now I’m moving away. Hard to be motivated to work on a spawn that no one will use, including myself. Honestly, we should have just done something smaller and more compact similar to north spawn. If the server wanted to collectively make a town, we could have done it somewhere where everyone would feel like contributing. Having two people work on a town in survival Minecraft is hardly better than just one.

True about no one using it, but it is our first spawn so I thought it would still be nice to make something bigger for it, but yea. I agree, newer spawns should be small and simple. So it gets finished. xD
2 is double the work of 1. If you think about it that way. Yea it doesn’t seem like much, but if I was to work alone for 1 hour, I would get 1 hours worth of work done. If I was to work with you for 1 hour, we would get 2 hours of work done. It makes a big difference I think. Regardless I think central is staying how it is anyway. Yea it isn’t fully complete, but it looks nice still. 🙂

And congrats on all the stuff you did at your first base. Looks epic man. Must be kinda hard to leave it though.

Well, I’m not as experienced a builder as you in this style. 1 hour of work for you is likely 2 hours of work for me. 😛

The ship could still move to central spawn if you’d want it there. I hadn’t quite finished the interior, mostly because I was out of iron for the powder storage and was loath to use TNT for decoration. I never intended for anyone to be on it anyways. I can’t stick torches all over the sails. Mobs are gonna drop on your head.

I’m actually rather relieved to be moving on. This style was tiring on me. It really is too much sandstone to allow much room for creativity. Especially since the largest parts of the base are spherical, which never let you do things easily. I’m ready to try my hand at steampunk fantasy and very large organics. I’ve saved up a lot of neat ideas in these last few months. The expensive materials wouldn’t let me COMPLETELY start over, but I truthfully didn’t want to anyways. A lot of it is just grinding to get good tools. I’d like to be done with that.

Oh! Thats right i remember you saying you were going to build tangoteks potion station. Or is it? Looks good in any case.
You can build iron golem farms in the sky if you make them look like space ships like panda4994 did. 😛 I never wanted to build one because then I couldn’t have any doors anywhere. Then on the same token I never put any doors in my cave… lol
My offer still stands to sail your ship to central spawn (or as I’m calling it now Beach Spawn).
Impressive work man! Cant wait to see what you build next.

If a door is 20 blocks away from the next closest door, it won’t count as part of the village and won’t mess the golem farm up. If you have villagers by those new doors, they need to be 64 blocks away so that the village created by the golem farm doesn’t get messed up. Really, the requirements are not that strict.

I was originally going to surround the golem farms with stone and dirt to make another floating island of sorts, but I thought having them be directly vertical to each other would look stupid. I was actually more content to just re-do the farm and have the 2nd farm horizontal rather than vertical. That didn’t happen though. Too much to do.

I can prep the ship to move to spawn. Just let me finish staking out my claim in the (now) rarest biome in the game (apparently).
